The Academy is located in
very healthy surroundings on an area of 200 acres of land and forms
a part of the Kirpal Sagar complex. It is five kilometres away from
the historic town Rahon near Nawanshahar.

Library
The library is the nerve centre of any educational
complex and more so in a residential institution like the Kirpal
Sagar Academy. Due emphasis is, therefore, laid on encouraging
the students to spend all available spare time in the library
in addition to the specific hours provided for this purpose in
the work schedule. The library is operated on the open access
system providing books, journals and magazines on a wide range
of subjects, for use by children during library periods. In addition,
a central library has a large volume of reading and reference
material, not only in English, but in all major Indian and foreign
languages. Books and reading materials will also be loaned from
the central library. The library also has a collection of audio
and video tapes and slides. These, however, may be used only under
the direct supervision of a teacher, in the special viewing-hall
all set up adjacent to the library premises.

Gardening and nature club
The Academy is developing a botanical garden bird-cum-animal
sanctuary to supplement instruction in life science. The Academy
has extensive flower and vegetable gardens, dairy farms and is engaged
in related agricultural operations. Students will have opportunities
for studying the functioning of these in their spare time.

Game, sports
and physical education
The school years are a time of extraordinary growth, physically,
intellectually, emotionally and socially.
It is inevitable
that a dynamic, energetic child should have a great desire to
be exuberantly active. All normal healthy children have an abundance
of energy. The academy ensures that students develop as much brawn
as brain. There is no reason why they should stand around as spectators
at sports exhibitions, every reasons, on the contrary, why they
should not all get into the same. The Academy provides facilities
for games and sports like hockey, soccer, cricket, basketball,
badminton, tennis and squash. In addition to the regular games,
Physical training is compulsory. Systematic and sustained training
is imparted in athletics. Each child learns swimming. The Academy
participates in the inter-public-school athletics meets and various
other games competitions.

Fathers'
Home
In India due to poverty often old people, though they are
loved by their families, do not live a comfortable life. So the
Fathers' Home is the dire need of the time. Old people, having long
life-experiences, are able to put in their advices to help each
other. Moreover, they are trained in different jobs, and if they
are able to guide, they can be a tremendous help to untrained people
within the project.
So they may find a fulfillment in the service of man and be carefree
in an atmosphere of physical and spiritual welfare. |

Agriculture
and Dairy Farm
The Agriculture and Dairy Farm is set up on modern
standards. The Agriculture Farm provides wheat, rice, sugar, vegetables,
and vegetable oils to the Common Kitchen and the mess for the
Kirpal Sagar Academy. This land was barren, uneven, and unfit
to yield anything. Now by the help of many volunteer workers the
whole area has turned green and yields more than required.
There are cows and buffalos bred on the Farm providing sufficient
milk for the Common Kitchen and the School Mess.
The project includes further a Joiner's Workshop and Workshops
for Iron and Marble where Indians also have the opportunity to
learn a handicraft.
