We wish you a very Happy ‘2006’

 
  1. Classes X and XII students who were undergoing the X-tra coaching camp at the academy celebrated the New Year’s Eve along with the staff in a grand manner amidst great fun and frolic.

  2. Three of the English faculty members of the school attended a two-day workshop on spoken English through Poetry and Drama.  The workshop was held in Chandigarh on the 6th and 7th of January.  The British Council ran the workshop and was organized by the British Library.

  3. The winter coaching camp came to an end on 10th January.  This new experiment proved to be very successful and beneficial as the students gained a lot from it.

  4. On 15th January, the school re-opened after a break of one month.  Both, the staff and students looked fresh and were all set to work with great enthusiasm for the 3rd term, which commenced from the 16th January.

  5. Once again, on 18th January the students of classes X and XII were put to fire test in the form of Pre-board Examination.

  6. On 26th January, a great celebration in the Academy on account of Republic Day marked its eminence in the presence of Her Holiness Biji and Hon’ble Chairman, Dr. Karamjit Singh.  A special assembly was held in which the Principal cum Director, Mr. Bedi laid his views on the importance of this day.  The students equally participated by singing patriotic songs, delivering speeches and reciting poetries.

On the same day the Deputy Commissioner of Nawanshahr, specially, invited our young riders to put up a horse riding display at the ITI ground, Nawanshahr.  A very large audience witnessed the show and highly appreciated it.  Our proud riders got a standing ovation from the crowd.

  1. On 6th February, Sant Kirpal Ji’s birthday was celebrated at Kirpal Sagar with gaiety and piety.  The students of the academy attended the discourse by Her Holiness Biji in the Satsang Hall.  Hordes of people from various parts of Punjab had come.  A large number of members of the mission from abroad also attended the function.

  2. On 7th February, four of our riders namely master Prithvijit Singh Bedi, Gurjap Singh, master Simranjit Singh and Master Sandeep Singh were invited by the Equestrian Federation of India for the trials for International Tent Pegging competition at Patiala.

In the selection trials, 57 professional riders, mainly from 61 cavalry, BSF, Punjab Police, Chandigarh Mt. Police, ASC, Bangalore, and RVC Saharanpur participated along with our young riders.

It was very heartening to see that the 2 of our school riders namely Prithvijit Singh Bedi and Simranjit Singh stood 1st and 2nd respectively in the All India Trial for the Senior India Team A and B.

  1. From 14th to 18th February, the International Tent Pegging Competition was held at Polo ground, Patiala where teams from Pakistan, Oman and 2 teams (India A and B) competed with each other.

  2. Our heartiest congratulations to these two young riders who not only were selected to represent India ‘A’ senior team but also clinched 2 gold and 1 bronze medals each in the team event.

  3. With the commencement of the promotion Examination of the Academy on 25th February and the CBSE Board Exams on 2nd march, all the children were busy burning mid-night oil, doing their level best to pass with flying colours.

  4. On 10th March, the Academy celebrated the 66th Birth Anniversary of Her Holiness Biji.  The Principal cum Director conveyed his heartfelt felicitations to her.  The students put up scintillating performances on the stages to grace the occasion.  A sumptuous dinner for the staff and students was organized and everyone was seen relishing it.

  5. With the promotion Examination coming to an end on 11th march, the students departed for a short break.

  6. On 20th March the following student riders of Kirpal Sagar Academy went to participate in the Delhi Horse Show being organized at the APRC grounds in Delhi Cantt.

These students have been very efficiently trained under the able guidance of Capt. Daniel Masih who has accompanied them.

        • On 22nd, the students returned to the campus.  One could see new faces who had taken admission, mostly through parents.  This bears ample testimony to their growing confidence and complete satisfaction in the all round development and management of the school.

        • The new session commenced on the 23rd march.  There was an excitement in the air as students got their new books and were curious to know who would be teaching them.

        • Congratulations to our above mentioned Riders who have already bagged 14 medals in the ongoing Delhi Horse Show in the first five days.
